NADIA!
Feature (Drama)
Against the wishes of her conservative Indian family and imperialistic Papa, HIREN BARFIWALA, NADIA apprentices at an haute-cuisine French restaurant and takes on the gods of the hyper-masculine epicurean world in a televised food competition.
Nadia discovers that clashes between individualism and tradition, her heart’s desire and familial duty, are like garam masala – to each their own – and that sometimes the food on a plate can be a funhouse reflection of feminism, family, and fears.
