RICHARD CRAVEN
Principia Associate
Richard’s primary focus is in supporting the development of Principia’s projects. Richard has been involved in a production capacity on over forty feature films including Monty Python’s Meaning of Life (dirs. Terry Jones, Terry Gilliam), Honky Tonk Freeway (dir. John Schlesinger) and Nineteen Eight-Four (dir. Michael Radford). He was the founder of Eureka The Location Company in London, England, and Toronto, which location managed over a hundred feature films, TV movies, series, and commercials.
Richard produced the award-winning My Way Home (dir. Bill Douglas) and was associate producer on the Oscar-winning short film A Shocking Accident (dir. James Scott) based on the Graham Greene story. Richard produced, with Principia, the feature-length performing arts film, The Overcoat, based on the Nicholai Gogol short story with music by Dimitri Shostakovich. Richard was founder of the Association of Independent Producers in England 1976-78; a member of the National Film Development Advisory Panel; Chairman, AIP London Script Workshops, and Secretary to the All-Industry Committee chaired by Sir Robert Bolt.
